The Hellenic National Defence College (HNDC) is the supreme military academic institution with a long history and tradition. Since 1950 represents the ultimate and highest level of education for officers of the Armed Forces, Hellenic Police, and the broader Public Administration, on National Defence Policy and Strategy. In addition, serves as a scientific body of the Hellenic Armed Forces for defense policy and National Strategy issues.

Adapting to national aspirations and international developments, in a difficult period of geopolitical challenges, opportunities and risks, the HNDC provides high – level academic education with university professors, external speakers, and distinguished collaborators. Prominent figures from the political, military, social, and scientific communities, both domestic and foreign, complement the curriculum with their lectures, providing students with comprehensive knowledge, strategic thinking and broad understanding of the international system and the current geopolitical/geoeconomic situation.

Furthermore, HNDC collaborates with top domestic and international educational institutions, as well as with foreign Defense Colleges, allowing students to enhance their knowledge and conduct broader security studies on applied strategy, international security, geopolitical analysis, and defense studies, among others.

Throughout its 70 + years of history, HNDC has operated and evolved across the full spectrum of its functions, while maintaining all those characteristics that make it unique and distinct. This enables it to continue successfully fulfilling its mission and serve as a leverage for modernization and a source for cultivating strategic thinking.
