On Monday 01 September 2025 at the Athens War Museum, the opening ceremony of the 16th Distance Learning Course took place. Commandant of the Hellenic National Defence College (HNDC) representing Chief of the National Defence, Lieutenant General Athanasios Sardellis addressed the students, in the presence of Armed Forces and Security Forces General Staff’s representatives.
This Course includes Officers of the Army, Navy, Air Force, Hellenic Police, Fire Brigade, Hellenic Coast Guard, Republic of Cyprus and Civil Servants of the Hellenic Ministry of National Defence.
After the ceremony, the Course training programme initiated with lectures by HNDC professors on Strategy and Geopolitics. Furthemore, a lecture was given by the Professor of International Law and Foreign Policy at Panteion University and member of the Hellenic Parliament, Dr. Angelos Syrigos, on “Analysis of the geostrategic environment”.
