On Thursday 06 Feb 25, a Seminar on “War in Ukraine: Political and Strategic Analysis” took place at the Armed Forces Officers Club, organized by the Hellenic National Defence College.
The Seminar was attended by the Commandant of the Hellenic National Defence College, Lieutenant General Athanasios Sardellis as a representative of the Chief of the Hellenic National Defence General Staff, Armed Forces and Security Forces Chiefs representatives, the President of the Hellenic Military Engineers Association, Lieutenant General (Retired) Spyridon Belegrates, as well as personnel from the three branches of the Armed Forces and HNDC’s students.
Seminar’s moderator was Μr. Konstantinos Koliopoulos, Professor of International and Strategic Studies at the University of Piraeus and HNDC.

1st Panel “The political framework”
– Mr. Konstantinos Koliopoulos, Professor of International and Strategic Studies at the University of Piraeus and HNDC on “the Russian Worldview and the War in Ukraine”.
– Mr. Charalambos Papasotiriou, Professor of International Relations of the Panteion University, on “USA and the War in Ukraine.”
– Μr. Kostas A. Lavdas, Professor of European and Comparative Politics and Director of the Graduate Program in International Relations and Strategic Studies of the Panteion University, on “The European Union and the War in Ukraine.”
2st Panel “Strategic issues and their effect”
– Mrs. Eirini Cheila, Professor of International Politics at the University of Piraeus and HNDC, on “The War in Ukraine and the Food Crisis”.
– Dr. Ioannis Nioutsikos, Postdoc at the War Studies of King’s College London, on “The Military Strategy of the War in Ukraine”.
– Dr. Andrew N. Liaropoulos, Associate Professor of International and European Studies, at the University of Piraeus, on “Cyber Operations in the War in Ukraine”.
